It assures them that if they do this, God will forgive them, and exonerate them from their misdeeds. God accepts the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will God turn in mercy: For God is full of knowledge and wisdom. The penalty on the day of Judgement will be doubled to him(disbeliever), and he will dwell therein in ignominy- unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for god will change the evil of such persons into good.
